Jewish and pro-Israel groups team up for millennial focus on fighting antisemitism

NEW YORK – The World Jewish Congress will take part next week, August 7, in a panel discussion hosted by the Jewish National Fund on engaging millennials in the fight against antisemitism.
“The Time Is Now: Millennials Fighting Back Against Antisemitism” will explore a range of issues, including harnessing the power of social media to combat antisemitism, using the lessons of the Holocaust to apply to current events facing the Jewish world, and efforts being made on college campuses to support the Jewish community.
Opening Remarks will be provided by Chelsea Mandel, JNFuture New York Board Member and Almog Elijis, Spokesperson and Consul of Media Affairs for the Consulate General of Israel in New York. The panel will be moderated by Russel F. Robinson, CEO of the Jewish National Fund. Daniel Cohen, the Digital Campaign Manager of the WJC will take part in the panel, together with Melissa Weiss, national campus outreach director at the Simon Wiesenthal Center, Avi Posnick, Northeast and New England director of Stand With Us, and Bryan Leib, program manager, Israeli-American Council of New York.
